Gender attitudes, new politics and modernization - four studies of continuity and change in modern democracies

How have changing gender role and a rising role of women in politics changed modern democracies? This is the overarching question addressed in this book. The book collects four academic articles, each analyzing various facets of modern democracies as they relate to the role of gender in politics. The theoretical point of departure is new politics theory and modernization theory, and what these theories has to say about gender and politic in modern democracies.
