Kort om boken
Om High Intensity Muon Sources
This volume presents the possibility of high intensity muon sources whose intensity would be at least 104 higher than that available now. Scientific opportunities anticipated with such sources are search for muon lepton flavor violation, measurements of the muon anomalous magnetic moment and the electric dipole moment, neutrino factories based on a muon storage ring, muon collider and muon applied science such as muon catalyzed fusion and biology. In addition to physics opportunities, the necessary technology for such sources is discussed.Contents: Muon Physics IMuon Physics II: Muon LFV and Muon PropertiesMuon Storage Ring for Neutrino SourceLow Energy Muon Source and PhysicsMuon Physics IIIReadership: Researchers and graduate students in high-energy, accelerator and experimental physics.Key Features:The book provides a comprehensive insight into the issues and problems faced by a rapidly emerging research culture with international interfaces. The problems faced by culturally diverse Singapore, and the solutions adopted, will be of interest to readers in other developing and developed economiesTo the knowledge of the editors, there has been no publication that has been produced on the subject of bioethics in Singapore, and it is unclear that a comparably in-depth study of the development of regulatory principle and practice has been produced anywhere. This book is thus a unique case study of ethical thinking within a national jurisdicationThe book includes original contributions from some extremely distinguished international figures, some of whom have served on the BAC or as international advisors to it. This category would include Martin Bobrow, Alastair Campbell, Bartha Maria Knoppers, Edison Liu, Bernard Lo and Thomas Murray.
