    Om All Those In Favour

With a background of the swinging 'sixties, 'All Those In Favour' faithfully records an over-the-shoulder record of the intrigues and manic manoeuvrings of the two sides that would eventually virtually kill off the Midland's motor industry. As the era of post- war full employment came to an untidy end, union militants opposed old stalwarts still employing time tested methods of compromise with the bosses. With the demise of the industrialist owner, a new breed of young managers, from the same working class stock as their union adversaries were obliged to pursue survival policies that would satisfy neither side. On a lighter side, the ever present temptations of the flesh in the office and the ribald humour went some way to help maintain sanity in the cauldron that was factory life of the time. Without pulling any punches 'All those in Favour' tells it like it was.
