Luthers Sundenbegriff in der Großen Genesisvorlesung (1535-1545)
This study approaches Luthers hamartiology by way of the relatively neglected Great Lecture on Genesis. The author integrates different research perspectives on sin to understand mans turning away in the context of Gods attention, understood in Trinitarian terms. By viewing creation, reconciliation, and perfection as the manifestation of Gods will for the community of man, sin can be conceived as a turning away from the Word.
