A collection of articles in the form of chapters discussing aspects of the growth of Protestantism in Wales from the middle of the sixteenth century to the Methodist revival. It is not a text- book, but discussions on the condition of the Anglican Church in Wales, the bishops' problems, the growth of the puritan movement, puritan policy, and the background of the Methodist revival.
