Flower(s) - Vol. 1 is the first volume of a collection of books about flowers, by Teresa Freitas. The concept: one country, one flower, one book.
For this first volume, Teresa presents the safflower in Japan (Yamagata province). Using a primarily documentary approach, the photographer has been interested in flowers, the professions that revolve around these delicate plants, and the people who grow them for several years. The publication presented here is composed like a poem, in a more abstract and mute manner, in order to convey a particular mood and atmosphere.
Each book is scented with a fragrance co-created with Flair Paris from the flower studied.
