After its careful renovation by David Chipperfield Architects, the ballroom Hasenheide 13 will serve as an exhibition venue for the Sammlung Wemhöner from 2025 onwards. Reason enough to review the eventful and lively history of the place in order to respectfully continue its history as a meeting place: a history that already began before the construction of the ballroom at the end of the nineteenth century, and in a certain way also exemplarily reflects the development of Berlin over the past 150 years.
