For the first time this volume reconstructs Hegels philosophy of history from the perspective of philosophy of science (in the broad sense i.e. including humanities). The main focus is on the relation between historiography and the philosophy of history. The analysis of this relationship provides the foundation for the reconstruction of the philosophy of history as a conceptual history of freedom.
