What wisdom can a man offer to those whose hearts already beat with God?When Uddhava, Krishna’s cousin and disciple, seeks the highest knowledge—Brahmagyan—he expects a discourse on detachment, meditation and the nature of the Self. But Krishna, with a knowing smile, sends him to Radha’s Vrindavan. There, among the simple gopas and wide-eyed gopis, he finds a truth that is too dazzling for philosophy to hold. Armed with intellect, Uddhava arrives as a teacher. But in the playful laughter of cowherd girls, in Radha’s fierce, silent ache, in love that asks for nothing yet offers everything, he is undone.
