Lucy Ashford has returned home from university to her parents'' house with a broken heart, but her life is turned around by the unexpected arrival of her childhood friend Cassie Clarke. Cassie, now a TV star, whisks Lucy away to London and helps her find a job in a prestigious theatrical agency. Against her better judgement, Lucy falls for bad-boy film star Daniel Miller, and is swept up into his A-List lifestyle, discovering for herself the surreal nature of contemporary celebrity. She also spots the talent of as yet undiscovered actor Owen Somers, and they strike up a close friendship. It is only when Daniel betrays her, that Lucy realises her true feelings for Owen are not those of a friend.

A Stage Kiss will be the first of a series of novels with a theatrical background, in which minor characters from one novel appear as major characters in another. The second book, A Love Scene, at the first draft stage, has the hero and heroine meet at an audition, but his past threatens to come between them. Following that, A Star-Crossed Kiss will be about two rival amateur dramatics societies, and the off-stage romantic drama that ensues when a famous professional actor arrives in town.
