My Story

The remarkable, true and inspirational trilogy from No.1 Sunday Times bestselling author Dave Pelzer, now in one volume.

'A powerful account' NSPCC

*****

A Child Called 'It' tells Dave's story as a child beaten and starved by his emotionally unstable, alcoholic mother: a mother who played torturous, unpredictable games that left one of her three sons nearly dead. Dave was no longer considered a son, or even a boy, but an 'it'. Throughout it all, Dave kept his dream alive of one day finding a family who would love and care for him.

The Lost Boy is Dave's harrowing but ultimately uplifting true story of his journey through the care system, in search of a family who would love him.

A Man Named Dave is the gripping conclusion to this inspirational trilogy. With extraordinary generosity of spirit, Dave takes us on a journey into his past as he confronts his father and, ultimately, his mother. Finally, Dave finds the courage to break the chains of the past and learn to love, trust and live for the future.
